7xm casino download India’s growth trajectory is increasingly powered by advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor chips, both of which complement each other, said Shankar Krishnamoorthy, Technical Head of Synopsys, during his keynote address at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024 here on Thursday. Speaking at a session on “AI for Chips; Chips for AI,” Mr. Krishnamoorthy emphasised the immense potential these technologies hold for India’s development. He highlighted their critical role in initiatives like the Smart Cities Mission and the “Viksit Bharat” projects. However, he cautioned that as these technologies evolve, ensuring accessibility and affordability would pose significant challenges. Adding to the discussion, Hasan Aijaz, Regional Industry Business Development Manager at Nvidia, pointed out that semiconductor chips have become the cornerstone of data centers. ‘‘Our goal is to help make India a global powerhouse in AI and semiconductors,” he stated. What's New? America's billionaires enjoyed a stellar 2024, their collective net worth soaring by hundreds of billions of dollars on the back of a sustained boom in the tech sector. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which ranks daily the world's wealthiest individuals, nine out of the 10 individuals who saw the largest growth in their net worth since January are U.S. citizens. Elon Musk , the South African-born CEO of SpaceX , Tesla , and X (formerly Twitter), saw his net worth skyrocket by an astounding $222 billion for a total of $451 billion as of December 24. His shares in Tesla, which make up a significant portion of his total fortune, have grown by 81 percent over the same period. Taken together, the 10 centibillionaires—which included perennial frontrunners Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos —notched an additional $730 billion onto their collective net worth in 2024, a few billion shy of Taiwan's GDP. Why It Matters The staggering accumulation of wealth—boosted in early November by the re-election of Donald Trump and a surge in U.S. stocks—sheds light on the dynamics of economic inequality in the U.S. and its broader implications. These debates had already been ignited by the impacts of inflation and wage stagnation as suffered by America's middle- and working-classes, and in the past such high figures have prompted calls for higher taxation on the super-wealthy, as well as examinations into the influence of money in the American political system. What To Know The individuals on Bloomberg's list, ranked by the increase in their net worth over the past 12 months, are: Elon Musk (+$222 billion), Mark Zuckerberg (+$84 billion), Nvidia founder Jensen Huang (+$77.9 billion), Jeff Bezos (+$67 billion), Larry Ellison (+$67 billion), Michael Dell (+$46.6 billion), Larry Page ($46.1 billion), Sergey Brin (+$42.2 billion), and Walmart heirs Jim (+$39.6 billion) and Alice Walton (+$39.0 billion). The nature of the billionaires on Bloomberg's list also highlights the outsized and growing impact of technology on the global economy today, nearly all of the billionaires deriving their wealth from ownership of companies in this sector. The global reach of communication technologies, and the high scalability of companies dealing in cutting edge tech, means that businesses positioned at the forefront of the digital transformation are poised to reap even greater rewards, promising today's billionaires even greater fortunes in the future. On the other end of the spectrum, the continued downturn in the luxury goods sector has seen many well-known billionaires shed significant portions from their net worth. Bernard Arnault, the founder and CEO of LVMH who once held the title of the world's richest person, saw his wealth decline by $32 billion in 2024. Arnault is followed by Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, businesswoman and heiress to the L'Oréal fortune, whose net worth sank by $25.6 billion so far this year. What People Are Saying Peter Oppenheimer , Chief Global Equity Strategist and Head of Macro Research in Europe at Goldman Sachs, spoke to financial outlet Boring Money about the future of the tech boom: "The drivers of this success have reflected their ability to leverage software and cloud computing and to fuel high profitability generated by extraordinary demand growth. But their more recent surge in performance since 2022 owes much to the hopes and aspirations around AI." What Happens Next? Some analysts have likened the tech boom to the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s and early 2000s, and warned that this too could burst, hurting those who hedged their fortunes on the transformative power of AI. For now, however, technology appears to have triggered an unparalleled rise in net worth for those at the pinnacle, leading to levels of individual wealth never before seen in history. BAREILLY: Two youths with links to Nov 24 Sambhal violence were arrested by UP police from Batla House in Delhi on Friday night, police said. Speaking with TOI on Saturday, Moradabad's divisional commissioner Aunjaneya Singh said a Sambhal-Delhi link was under investigation. "Places such as Jamia, Okhla, Jafrabad and Seelampur in Delhi are being monitored. Some of the rioters have locked their Sambhal homes and may have fled to Delhi post-violence," said a cop, privy to the details. "One of those arrested, Mohd Adnan, disclosed that after the violence, he took refuge in Jamia, staying with friends at Batla House. We have obtained substantial evidence from them," the cop added. SP (Sambhal) Krishan Kumar Bishnoi said, "The arrested men were earlier identified with the help of the videos . A search operation is on to trace more suspects." Notably, at least 50 people have been held in case so far. In another development, a complaint was filed with Sambhal police regarding alleged death threats to Samajwadi Party MP Ziaur Rahman Barq and his father, Mamlukur Rahman Barq. Jaipur, Dec 6 (PTI) Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Kirodi Lal Meena on Friday accused the police of acting against him over his “objections” on the SHO’s behaviour while detaining people who sought cancellation of SI recruitment exam over alleged irregularities. He claimed that he could tell on whose direction the “FIR” was registered. However, police commissioner Biju George Joseph said that no FIR was registered against him but the sequence of events was mentioned in a daily diary or ‘Rojnamcha’ by the SHO of Mahesh Nagar Police station regarding the incident of Tuesday night. The SHO on Tuesday night detained Manju Sharma, who is seeking the cancellation of the SI recruitment exam. She then went to the Vikas Bidhuri’s residence to detain him on directions of the senior police officers following intelligence inputs that they were planning to disrupt the prime minister’s visits to Jaipur in support of their demand. When the SHO was at Bidhuri’s residence and was trying to call him out, Kirodi Meena reached there and scolded her. He allegedly rebuked her and questioned her actions. On Friday, Meena held a press conference and demanded action against Mahesh Nagar SHO Kavita Sharma. “Only the chief minister can tell on whose behest the FIR was lodged. Why was it lodged, what is the reason? As per the provision in BNSS, I went to save (Manju Sharma and Vikas ) from the police. I did not take the law in my hands,” he said. He said that he would reveal the names of the officers and political leaders who have acted against him only after meeting the BJP state president. Meena said that the “strictest” action should be taken against SHO Kavita Sharma. He said that some officers were protecting her and the government should take the matter seriously. He demanded her arrest in a case that was registered against her in the past. On Wednesday morning, Kirodi Meena reached the residence of Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham with Manju Sharma and Vikas Bidhuri and demanded action against the SHO. He alleged that some officials have given an intelligence report to the state government stating that he has plans to disrupt Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming events in Rajasthan. The prime minister will inaugurate the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit on December 9. Without naming any official, Meena termed it an attempt by the officers to spoil his image and to create a divide between him and the chief minister. Meanwhile, when contacted Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph, he said, “No FIR was registered against the minister. The SHO mentioned the sequence of events in the Rojnamcha’. Maresca led the Foxes to the Sky Bet Championship title last season before joining Chelsea over the summer. Leicester famously toasted their improbable Premier League success in 2016 with an impromptu bash at Vardy’s house. But the venue for last April’s party was not at the striker’s abode, but at Maresca’s house when the players turned up unannounced at 2am. Maresca recalled: “The best present I had from last season was when we got promoted and they arrived at my home. All the team. “This showed the connection between the players; they could go for a party at a different place but they all arrived at my home. It was a fantastic connection and I will always be thankful for them. “I was at home celebrating with my staff and my family and about two o’clock in the morning all the squad was there. We celebrated all together. Last night at Enzo’s 🏡 💙 pic.twitter.com/dqP8BFsDn3 — Leicester City (@LCFC) April 27, 2024 “When I was a player and I won things I never thought to go to the manager’s home. That shows the connection.” Similarly to when they clinched the Premier League crown, Leicester were not actually playing when they found out they were promoted after Leeds lost at QPR. “To be honest I was at home watching the game and when it finished all the staff came over – and later the players,” added the Italian. “They didn’t knock on the door, they were in the garden and knocked on the window. What time did they leave? I don’t remember.” Vardy might not be having a party at the end of this season but he is still banging in the goals at 37 and Maresca rates the striker even more highly than England’s two top goalscorers – Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney. “People don’t realise how good he is,” added Maresca. “I know England have been quite lucky because of Kane and Rooney, this type of striker, they are fantastic. “But Jamie is, if you ask me, the best one.” Maresca returns to the King Power Stadium for the first time with Chelsea on Saturday, but he will be without captain Reece James due to a hamstring problem.

NFL coaches and players are constantly on camera, even when they're not on the field. Frequent press conferences with the media provide NFL fans with a steady stream of quotes about their favorite teams and players. These quotes can actually be used to make informed decisions about our fantasy teams. These useful quotes can pertain to injury outlooks, player usage, overall offensive tendencies and philosophy, and more. The key is to know which quotes are actionable, and which ones are just fluff that can be ignored. The vast majority of these quotes will be sourced from the interviews that beat reporters conduct with players and coaches throughout the week. The Coachspeak Index (CSI) does a phenomenal job of listening to these interviews and picking out the key nuggets. In this article, we'll be taking a look at quotes (from CSI and other sources) and analyzing their fantasy impact. Some may be more serious than others, but it's all about getting a feel for coaches and players from information that may not show up in the box score. WEEK 15 FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/ST | Kickers Fantasy Football Coachspeak Highlights: What are coaches saying about Jonathon Brooks, Puka Nacua, and more? Dave Canales provides an injury update on Jonathon Brooks Dave Canales said his heart goes out to Jonathon Brooks. pic.twitter.com/uG2lj15hbs In his third game since returning from an ACL tear, Jonathon Brooks tried to make a cut and went down with a non-contact injury. He did not return to the game and Carolina head coach Dave Canales since confirmed that their worst fears were true: Brooks tore his right ACL, the same ACL he tore last year at the University of Texas. Key Fantasy Takeaway: This is absolutely devastating for Brooks and could easily rob him of what was supposed to be an incredibly promising NFL career. Moving forward, Chuba Hubbard will function as a bell cow back for the rest of the season and will likely hold onto the same role next year. Hubbard will be a volume-based RB2 for the foreseeable future. MORE FANTASY: WEEK 15 WAIVER WIRE & FAAB RECOMMENDATIONS Puka Nacua draws high praise from Sean McVay Sean McVay said Puka Nacua was "such an igniter" on Sunday. "Igniter is one of the biggest compliments I can give somebody," McVay said. "You elevate everybody around you, you bring an energy to this football team. And he certainly did that today." https://t.co/nrGoi8rJbN Puka Nacua had one of the best games of his career, finishing with 178 total yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' victory over the Bills. Unsurprisingly, Sean McVay was quite pleased with his performance, calling Nacua an "Igniter" and saying, "Igniter is one of the biggest compliments I can give somebody." Key Fantasy Takeaway: McVay clearly loves this kid, and when you're in the good graces of Sean McVay, you can be made into a fantasy superstar. Nacua is just that, averaging 23.7 points per game in his five full games while ranking among the league leaders in both yards and targets per route run. With Matthew Stafford and McVay by his side, Nacua will be one of the most valuable receivers in all of fantasy as long as he's healthy. Raheem Morris is sticking with Kirk Cousins #Falcons HC Raheem Morris continues to support QB Kirk Cousins: “Everything is always discussed when you go watch the tape, but Kirk Cousins is our quarterback. Kirk played significantly better than he did the week before. We’ll do whatever is best to win football games, and... pic.twitter.com/r7cxFSErbO Over the last month, Kirk Cousins has thrown zero passing touchdowns and eight interceptions. He looks bad in the box score, but he looks even worse on film. Despite his immense struggles, head coach Raheem Morris is standing behind Cousins, saying he is a part of the Falcons' plans to win games. Key Fantasy Takeaway: Cousins has only delivered a couple of meaningful performances for fantasy managers this season. However, he's directly responsible for sustaining several highly-drafted players in Bijan Robinson and Drake London. Robinson has held up just fine in recent weeks, but at this point, it's time to start wondering if Michael Penix can lift London's weekly fantasy outlook. Garrett Wilson comments on Aaron Rodgers' accomplishment Garrett Wilson on Aaron Rodgers getting over 300 yards: “I’m glad he got over that hurdle. Cool.” Aaron Rodgers threw for 339 yards on Sunday, his first time eclipsing 300 yards in a single game since Dec. 12, 2021. When asked about this accomplishment, Garrett Wilson said, "I’m glad he got over that hurdle. Cool.” Wilson's reaction to this question perfectly encapsulates the Jets' lost season. Nobody in the building cares about their offensive production when they have 10 losses and are eliminated from the playoffs. Key Fantasy Takeaway: With the Jets already eliminated from playoff contention, there's legitimate reason to be concerned that they will shut down star players who get nicked up during these final few games. We've already seen them exercise caution with Breece Hall, who's nursing a knee injury. Fantasy managers who are planning to rely on the Jets' offense during the fantasy playoffs should monitor this situation closely. Mike Tomlin expresses caution with George Pickens' hamstring injury Mike Tomlin on George Pickens (hamstring): "GP was listed as questionable. We didn't feel like he was going to be able to play the type of number of snaps we thought would be worth putting him in a uniform for... We didn't want a small problem to become a big problem." George Pickens popped up on the injury report late last week with a hamstring issue. There was some optimism that he'd be able to play, but he was ultimately held out in the Steelers' victory over the Browns. Mike Tomlin made it clear that they were being especially cautious with Pickens, saying, "We didn't want a small problem to become a big problem." Key Fantasy Takeaway: As we head into the fantasy playoffs, there are likely a good number of teams that plan to deploy Pickens in their WR2 or Flex slot. Unfortunately, hamstring injuries can be quite fickle, and there's no guarantee that he'll be available for Week 15. Keep an eye on practice reports this week.

In a post to X made shortly after Mangione was identified, Cruz shared an article by the New York Post and wrote, "Leftism is a mental disease. None of this, however, backs up Cruz's statement. Lothal , Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday said the ₹ 4,300-crore National Maritime Heritage Complex being developed at Lothal in Gujarat is a project of national importance and will be a crucial step towards making India a leading maritime nation. Sonowal, who is Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister, reviewed the progress of the NMHC project along with Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, T K Ramachandran, said, "The phase 1-A of the project, coming up with an estimated cost of ₹ 1,200 crore, is expected to get over by August, 2025, with 65 per cent of its construction completed." The entire project, being executed in two phases, is expected to be completed by 2028, he said. Work on phase 1-A of the project, comprising six galleries, jetty walkway, Lothal town, etc, started in March 2022, before the Union Cabinet approved it in October 2024. Apart from 14 galleries in phase 1 , phase 2 will have conceptualisation of Lothal city as it existed in ancient times, surrounded by the pavilions showcasing the maritime heritage of coastal states in their individual pavillions, he said. "We are planning for the inauguration of the Phase 1-A of the project by August-September 2025, and the aim is to complete the entire project by 2028. We have completed 65 per cent of the work under phase 1-A," he said. The Union ministers toured key project landmarks, including INS Nishank, the Lothal Jetty Walkway and the Museum Block, and interacted with workers at the site to know their challenges and work progress. Sonowal expressed satisfaction with the significant milestones achieved in civil infrastructure development, noting that the project is advancing on schedule, an official release said. He said the government is committed to ensuring that the NMHC is completed on time and is of highest standards. "This project will boost tourism, provide a platform for maritime education, and foster collaboration between India's maritime community and the global industry. It is a crucial step toward making India a leading maritime nation," the release quoted him as saying. "The NMHC is a project of national importance, offering tremendous opportunities for growth and learning in the maritime sector. The visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji has ensured that India remains on course towards all round development of the country and that the people reap the fruit of India's developmental story," Sonowal said. The project will boost tourism, provide a platform for maritime education, and foster greater collaboration between India's maritime community and the global maritime industry, he added. The release said this world-class facility will showcase India's maritime heritage from ancient to modern times, adopting an innovative "edutainment" approach using cutting-edge technology to spread awareness and attract international tourists. Lothal, located some 80 km away from Ahmedabad, was a prominent city of the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation dating back to 2400 BCE. It holds historical significance for its advanced dockyard, thriving trade and renowned bead-making industry. Artefacts such as seals, tools, and pottery unearthed by archaeologists reveal a rich cultural and economic history, making it a key Harappan site. Designed as a world-class destination under the Sagarmala Programme of the Union government, the NMHC aims to showcase India's naval achievements and cultural connections through interactive exhibits, state-of-the-art displays and engaging storytelling. This initiative is poised to not only preserve India's maritime heritage but also to attract global tourists and foster a deeper appreciation of its historical significance, the release said. "The idea is to generate a movement regarding knowledge about our heritage. We are also looking at tourism with the development of several tourist circuits, and nearby heritage sites, oceanic, cruise and coastal tourism will be connected to this. We hope that in the years to come, this will be one of the biggest complexes in the world," Ramachandran said. The ministry has also planned collaboration with 25 countries and signed MoUs with countries such as Portugal, UAE and Vietnam for the project, officials said. Phase 1-B of the project will have eight galleries, a lighthouse museum, a 'Bagicha complex', and a 5D dome theatre. Museutel , eco resort, coastal state pavilion, Lothal city, theme-based parks and maritime research institute and hotel are highlights of phase 2 project, they said. More info Luke McCowan says he’ll NEVER sulk about not starting games for Celtic - because he’s just so desperate to be part of the Hoops’ success story. And the Parkhead midfielder believes that if he continues to shine alongside Celtic’s galaxy of international stars, he can earn a dream Scotland call-up in March. The 27-year-old has made a seamless transition from Dundee to the Premiership champions after getting his big move last summer. McCowan has been used sparingly by boss Brendan Rodgers , both domestically and in the Champions League, and has become an integral part of the Celtic squad. But the Scot insists he DOESN’T feel under pressure to impress the Hoops gaffer and is delighted with the role he’s been given by Rodgers at his boyhood club. Ahead of today’s Premiership clash with St Johnstone, McCowan said: “I don’t feel pressure to make an impression or make an impact. I just play my game. “That’s what has helped me. I’m 27 years old now so I’m not inexperienced or someone that doesn’t know what I’m doing. When I come in, I know I need to play in the system. I don’t go searching for things, I just play my football and keep a level head. “You can’t come on in a mood because you’re not playing. Because there are so many games and you just want to be part of it. So far, that approach has worked for me.” Whenever McCowan has been given an opportunity this season, he’s caught the eye for Celtic. And he’s hoping that if he maintains his level of performance for the best team in the country - he’ll also get noticed by national team manager Steve Clarke. Scotland have a Nations League play-off double-header against Greece to look forward to and McCowan would love to be involved. He said: “I hope it’s a possibility and if it comes along, great. It’s something that people have put out there but I need to just let my football do the talking. If the manager picks up the phone, so be it. “It definitely helps that I’m part of a team which is full of international players. What will be will be - that’s what my Granny says! I just need to keep going and see what happens.” Meanwhile, McCowan has expressed concerns about the VAR delays which he says are threatening to upset Celtic’s rhythm. During their 4-0 Boxing Day win over Motherwell there were several VAR stoppages during the 90 minutes. And the former Dundee playmaker says it’s not helping Rodgers’ side’s fluency. Celtic benefited from VAR NOT getting involved in a penalty incident against Rangers in their recent League Cup Final victory but McCowan said: “It does bring a lot of delays, especially when teams come to Celtic Park. “I felt it myself when I came here with Dundee. You want the game to be as fluent as possible and sometimes it isn’t, which is not great. “That’s not just VAR at times, it can be how the referee manages the game. That’s the only downside to VAR, the delays. Sometimes I think it takes five or 10 minutes to put the telly on! “It’s not my place to say whether it’s working or not. Everyone in the game has it now so we just need to go along with it. You just hope it gets the decisions right for football.”

The partnership with World Bank will help in achieving key development priorities for long term development in the next few years.

On Saturday night, Donald Trump announced he intends to appoint Kash Patel as director of the FBI. The news sparked an immediate frenzy from establishment figures across media and politics. Legal and national security “experts” were deployed to the Sunday morning news shows to characterize the move as evidence that Trump intends to politicize the FBI and use it as a weapon against his many political opponents. The political establishment’s concerns about what a Trump FBI could do mirror a lot of what we’ve heard from the right in recent years as they found themselves in the Bureau’s crosshairs. But almost all of these complaints and warnings have operated under the assumption that—with maybe the exception of a few bad episodes in the 1960s—the FBI has long been an essential crime-fighting force that has only recently become—or threatens to become—corrupted by politics. In truth, the FBI has always been used as a weapon against political movements and rivals of the established political class. That’s the reason it was created. At the end of the 1800s, left-wing anarchists were attacking heads of state all across Europe. In a few short years, the king of Italy, the prime minister of Spain, the empress of Austria, and the president of France were all assassinated by anarchists. While no communist or anarchist movement had yet to take over a country, the tenacity of these activists and revolutionaries was seriously concerning those in power in the United States. Then, in 1901, President William McKinley was shot and killed by an anarchist while attending a meet-and-greet in Buffalo, New York, which brought his vice president, Theodore Roosevelt, into office. It was President Roosevelt who tapped his Attorney General Charles Bonaparte—the grandnephew of Napoleon—to create the FBI. The AG was required by law to get congressional approval before creating this new “investigative” service of special agents within the Department of Justice. In the spring of 1908, Bonaparte officially requested the money and authority to create the FBI. Congress came back with an emphatic no. Members of the House saw through the innocuous language of the request and figured out exactly what the president and AG were doing—creating a secret police force that was answerable only to them. House Democrats like Joseph Swagar and John J. Fitzgerald and Republicans like Walter I. Smith and George Waldo all loudly condemned the proposal, saying it called for a “system of espionage” comparable to the Tsar’s secret police in Russia that stood in stark contrast to the very principles at the heart of the American system. Congress explicitly forbade the AG from creating this new Bureau. So what did Bonaparte do? He waited for Congress to break for the summer and then went ahead and created the FBI anyway. Congress was only notified about the new federal police force half a year later when Bonaparte included a quick throw-away line at the end of his annual report: “It became necessary for the department to organize a small force of special agents of its own.” So, the FBI was not created in response to out-of-control crime; its creation was a crime. Immediately, the new Bureau was unleashed on anyone and everyone who was perceived as a threat to those in power. That started with left-wing anarchists but quickly expanded to include many antiwar activists as President Wilson pulled the country into World War I. From the outset, the FBI operated primarily as a domestic intelligence agency—recruiting spies within groups they were targeting and breaking into offices and homes, intercepting mail, and tapping the phones of anyone they considered a threat. As the years wore on—like most other executive agencies—the Bureau evolved away from serving the direct interests of whoever happened to sit in the Oval Office to instead serve its own interest and the interest of the broader entrenched, permanent power structure in Washington. In the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s, the FBI conducted covert operations aimed at inciting violence between domestic groups, breaking up political organizations it disapproved of, and, perhaps most famously, collecting blackmail on Martin Luther King Jr. that they then tried to use to drive him to commit suicide. Although today’s FBI acknowledges and publicly disavows these past activities, they are still carrying out egregious operations that always seem to benefit the political class. The Bureau has taken up a kind of sting operation where, over and over again, agents find isolated, gullible, often mentally-handicapped young men, pretend to be political radicals or higher-ups in a terrorist organization, and then convince the young men to plan and carry out a terrorist attack with FBI-funds and resources. Agents then step in at the end and act like they heroically stopped a real plot. The FBI did this relentlessly with young Muslim men after 9/11. The arrests helped prolong the perception that the global war on terror and extreme measures like the Patriot Act were necessary. In recent years, the FBI has conducted a number of similar schemes with right-wing groups—advancing the establishment’s narrative that Donald Trump is radicalizing “uneducated” middle Americans and turning them into violent insurrectionists. And then there are, of course, all the ways the FBI directly tried to undermine and hinder Trump’s first term. Right-wingers are correctly deriding the establishment for panicking about Trump’s FBI doing to them what they have tried to do to him. But many—on both sides—go wrong when they present the Bureau as only recently, or imminently, being corrupted into serving the interests of those in power. That’s been its role since the beginning. On Friday, Nov. 22, Jefferson Elementary fifth graders participated in their school's 2024 Day of Compassion retreat. It was led by some Fargo North High school students, along with inspirational speaker and lay pastor at First Lutheran Church, Rollie Johnson. The retreat featured games, skits, presentations and small group discussions. They addressed issues on bullying and exclusion. Then found ways to use their words and actions to help those who may feel alone. One of the fifth graders said it helped him understand compassion. "Make sure nobody's left alone, and always invite people to play with you, and always make sure people are never left alone in stuff," Jerardo Gonzalez, a student at Jefferson Elementary school, says. The day ended with a Sacred Circle and candlelight campfire.
